Donna Chamness

Donna Chamness began working as a real estate
salesperson in 1995 with a local Kansas City company. She soon expanded her
career by obtaining her broker’s license and becoming co-owner of an office in
rural Cass County. She joined United Country Real Estate, at the corporate
office, in August of 2012. Her current role there is Onboarding Manager,
working with new, existing, or transferred franchise owners. She helps them get
familiar with the United Country brand, marketing, training opportunities, and technology
platform. Being able to work with UC affiliates all over the country, as well
as internationally, has helped her gain a wealth of knowledge about the
industry and valuable tips in marketing various niche property types.
Her previous career experience includes working
for a major stock transfer company with its home base in Kansas City, MO. There
she had many roles including processing transactions on mutual fund and
retirement accounts, monitoring high-dollar trades for accuracy, and managing a
group of mutual fund representatives. Before leaving the company she was
promoted to quality assurance analyst, working with a team of developers and
testing new software functionality.
Donna is a lifelong member of Missouri, growing
up on a farm, outside the small rural town of Drexel. She comes from a large
farm and ranch family with members throughout Cass, Jackson, Johnson, Bates, and
Vernon Counties. In her off hours Donna enjoys hiking, bicycling, working in
her yard, DIY projects, weekends on the lake, spending time with her family, and
spoiling her grandchildren.
Real estate has been a passion of hers ever since
purchasing her first home and 10 acres right out of high school. Over the
years, she has bought, remodeled, and sold multiple properties and weathered
many market ups and downs. Donna understands the needs of buyers and sellers as
well as the importance of listening and communication. She believes in a strong
work ethic and prides herself in being able to provide an excellent level of
customer service and follow-up to her clients.
